Fireboard 2 w/ Drive or Fireboard Pro w/ Free Cable or Free XT Cable
Our cable, along with the Fireboard w/ Drive or Fireboard Pro, will work with the following Masterbuilt grills: 560, 800, 1050, 1150 & XT. (Purchase the bundle with the XT cable if you have an XT grill). *Please read the full description before ordering.
Fireboard 2 with Drive or Fireboard Pro, along with our free cable, is all you'll need to connect with your Masterbuilt. (Bypassing the original controller) Here are the differences between the Fireboard w/ Drive and the Fireboard Pro:
The Fireboard 2 w/ Drive includes 2 food probes and 1 ambient probe. With the stock probes, you'll reach up to 570 degrees. If a higher temperature is desired, you can purchase RTD probes, which will read up to 716 degrees. The Fireboard 2 w/ drive has 6 probe ports and also includes a grill clip and USB-C PD charger.
The Fireboard Pro, along with the custom cable, is what you'll want if you cook at very high temperatures; it will reach up to 1200 degrees. It has 3 probe ports and also includes a grill clip and USB-C PD charger.
For your Masterbuilt XT grill, purchase the Fireboard of your choice with the XT cable. The XT cable is 4' long and plugs into your Fireboard directly to the fan.

In many instances, the sensor switches are the culprit with issues of the fan not working. They become sensitive with heat exposure over time. You may want to override the switches or replace them.
*Please note: If you are having difficulty with your Fireboard unit, Fireboard requires the customer to call them to troubleshoot for any software issues.(They can log into your unit remotely) If the problem can not be resolved, they will add you to their system for a return. This step is imperative as we can not return the unit to them if our customer is not recorded in their system. We will not be able to issue a refund until this step has been taken.
